An Invitation to Slow Down and Notice

We all have energy that moves through us and around us. Without judgment, try this at home and simply notice what you experience. You may find it works better with your eyes open or closed — there’s no right way.
Begin by rubbing your hands together until they feel warm. Slowly separate them and notice any tingling, pulsing, or vibration between your palms. Be patient. The first time I tried this, it took me about five minutes before I could feel anything. Allow the sensation to build naturally.
Notice the quality of the energy. Does it feel warm or cool? Dense or light? Does it have a color or texture? Try not to overthink it — trust your first impressions and bodily sensations.
Gradually move your hands farther apart, staying connected to the energetic field between them. See how far you can separate your hands while still feeling the energy. Once you can sense the resistance or flow, begin shaping it into a ball, as if you’re gently holding space.
If someone is nearby, you can both create an energy ball and slowly pass it back and forth, noticing how the sensation changes. When you’re finished, make sure you end with your own energy, drawing it back toward yourself.
Feel the vibration between your palms. See how large you can make your energy ball without losing the sensation. Then experiment with transferring this feeling to different parts of your body — your chest, your back, your legs. Finally, imagine expanding the energy outward, creating a soft, protective bubble around you.
Play with incorporating this into your day. Notice what changes occur.
